ietherpad is also a great public etherpad. http://ietherpad.com/

Unfortunately ietherpad is forever not working. I am – reluctantly – giving up on it after about two years of using it in language classes. Too often it was not available.

Yes we never advised people to use ietherpad.com – iEtherpad.com never contributed anything to the project and was never very stable.

For edu related work we recommend PrimaryPad.com

It’s just a normal installation of Etherpad on a German TLD – without any special features. But nevertheless it IS an Etherpad installation. http://feedpad.loverty.de/

    Hm – hvordan funker dette?

  • Tom

Do any of these allow me to use wget with username and password to download my private files? It doesn’t appear so.

    • Anonymous

No because Etherpad Lite is now widely adopted and it would be up to the site admin to handle the authentication prior to access to pads. Etherpad Lite does not have any built in Auth, we devolve that via an API.

      See: https://github.com/Pita/etherpad-lite/wiki/HTTP-API

You could write that functionality in and ask a site admin to implement it.

Btw I think this a good question and more people should ask it, access to your data is very important.

Looking forward to QikPad.co.uk making the list :)

Is the beta.etherpad.org site down permanently? I haven’t been able to access it for a while.

The etherpad site hosted by mozilla.org raises an error when trying to export to word or pdf.
Is the facility disabled or is there a genuine error, and if so how to report this?

titanpad.com has always provided a reliable service (for me at least)
